- WESTLAND SUB-UNION.

MONDAY, May 30. The Sub-Union met at 8 p.m. Present—Messrs F. McGregor (chair) Stafford, Cuthush. .Moore. McDonald Wbilev, Dowell and Ileenan.

The minutes were confirmed and outward correspondence approved. INWARD CORRESPONDENCE.

From J. Mncfarlane thanking Union rod message of sympathy.—Received.

From At. J. Screen submitting referee’s report.—Received > From West Coast Rugby Union notifying 7-aside tournament at Greymouth on June 3rd; also that senior game*; would bo continued on .Tune 4. —Received. From Hariliari Club nominating a junio rtcani for 7-aside. —Received and accepted.

From A. Askew, reporting on senior game and notifying ordering off of a player.—Received : to he forwarded to West Coast Rugby Union. SEVEN-A-STRE.

The following nominations were received : Juniors —Excelsiors A, B, C, Kanieri, Ross A. B, Rimii A, B, Kokntahi A. B. Hariliari.

Third Grade—School A, B, Rimii A, B, Excelsior A, B. Shrimps, (8 stone). —School A, B, C, D, E. F, Convent A, B. Bantams (under 51 stone).—School A. B, C, D, E, Convent A, 13. It was resolved to postpone all junior and third grade matches set down for June 4th.

It was resolved to get in touch with Golden Bay and Ashburton Unions in regard to having matches played at Hokitika and also with the Maori Advisorv Board.

Trophies for tli ( e seven-a-side tournament were arranged for as follows: Juniors, Hunter Cup. Third Grade, Cup. Schrimps, Football. Bantams, Football. It was resolved to submit the names of Afessrs Cutbush and Williamson as referees for the senior game, on Saturday.

It was resolved that the seven-a-side tournament commence at 9 a.m. sharp, and that Messrs Dowell and Moore arrange for the refereeing.
