New Zealand, won the toss, and kicked off with a strong wind and the sun in their faces. Sydney immediately attacked and after a pasiug rush, Foote scored at tile corner. Ross failed to con veil. New Zealand forwards came again. The ball was kicked out at the line. Johnson intercepted a X.X. pass in the Sydney 25, and made a. line run.
