It has also received £IOO4 for Madam Xungessor, and another £IOOO for the children of Captain Coli, who went with Xungessor. In accepting a medal, Captain Lindbergh emphasised that Niingosscr and Coli had a far greater task in flying to America than he had in flying to Europe. Commander AYciss states that Captain Lindberg’s plans are unsettled. He is not yet able to consideT the offers of fabulous sums from the American impressarios.

DE PIXEDO OVERDUE. NEW YORK. Afar 24. Ihe Marehe.se De Pincdo. on his flight from Trepassy, Newfoundland, is at present 12,1 hours behind the scheduled time of arrival at the Azores. It is reported that De Pinedo has not yet arrived at the Azores. It is believed that engine trouble has forced his descent to the ocean. A schooner is said to have been observed towing a ’plane in the direction of the Azores at a point miles off De Pinedo’s course.

A SEARCH STARTED. LONDON, .May 24. A search for De Pinedo is now pro-

ceeding. Lloyds reports that a schooner has been sighted towing an aeroplane, apparently marked by a tricolour.
