To-night at the Princess Theatre Estelle Taylor, Alee. Francis and Hrvnnt AVashburn will he seen in

“ Wandering Footsteps.” Photoplay fans who have learned to select their evening’s entertainment through a knowledge of the men who are responsible for the making ot the pictures will realize the significance in the announcement that Phil Rosen directed the filming of the latest Banner production, ” Wandering footsteps, which was adapted into continuity lorm by Hope Loring and Louis Leighton from Charles Sherman’s novel, “A Wise Son.” Although Rosen is one of the younger directors, his knowledge of dramatic values, pictorial composition and film craft in general lias been developed in a manner that has placed him in a unique and enviable position among contemporary directors. Prior to becoming a director he was well known as a cameraman and in that capacity worked on many of the most notable screen offerings a few years ago. When George Leon Tucker came to California to film “The .Miraete Man,” lie sent for Rosen and placed him as head cinematographer of that notable production. This was the start of a warm friendship between the two and ho remained with Tucker as conferree until that great director was claimed by death. “ Wandering Footsteps,” which Rosen directed, is a production that will add new laurels to this young director’s long list of successful pictures and is one which, when the final count is taken, will stand out as one of his most remarkable productions. A topical and comedy complete the display to-night. On Friday Fred Thomson 'and his wonder horse Silver King will appear in “'the Bandits Baby.” Also second chapter of “The Ace of Spades.”
