FRIDAY, MAY (Ah. The Board met at -1.30 p.m. Present—Messrs G. A. Wood. T. A\ . Bruce, C. J Nightingale, E. W. Keenan, W. J. Ziegler, and M. Houston. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN. Mr B. Wild took the chair anj read notifications of the election ol members, and invited nominations lor the position of Chairman. Mr Houston nominated .Mr Wood as Chairman. Seconded by Air Ziegler and carried on the voices, Mr Wood took the chair and tlmnked members for his election. He also took fhe opportunity of congratulating Air Ziegler on Ids return at the tup of a record poll. ORDINARY MEETING.

From Gisborne Harbour Board sendjno revised balance sheet. Received. REPORT. Front Signalman reporting the bar iu pood condition, the channel running to the north-west with a depth of 1feet of water.—Received. Accounts amounting to £372 !)s (>d were passed lor payment. Messrs Houston, Ziegler, and Wood were appointed to sign cheques and documents. The Hoard roee at 0 p m.
