FOOTBALL.
WESTLAND SUB-UNION. The Committee met last evening at 8 o’clock. Present:—Messrs F. Mi Gregor (President), Moore. AA liiley. D. Dowell, McDonald, C'uikuxh, Stafford, and Heenan (secretary). The Secretary was directed to write to the AY.C.R.r. re attire of players and selectors’ expenses. R. 11. Carter applied to be graded as a junior.—Recommended. Vic Pnwson was granted a transfer to Kokalalii Club. The AA'est C'm;-4 Rngbv Union wrote in reference to the seven-aside tournament.—Received. It was resolved to reply that the Sub-Union hail decided to run a seven-aside tournament on June 3rd but would have no objection to the W.C.11.U. playing a match at Greymouth that day, as the selection of a representative team will not affect the position and the selected senior players would take their part in the representative game. The Excelsior Club nominated a B team for the junior competition.—Accepted. JUXIOR FIXTURES. SATURDAY, AIA A' 7th. Ross v. Excelsior B at Ross at 3 p.m.. -4r Sutherland. Kokatahi v. Excelsior A at Hokitika, 3 p.m.. Air Williamson. Kanieri v. Rimu. at Rimu. at 3 p.m., Air Screen. THIRD GRADE. Excelsior v. School, at 1.30 p.m. Rimu, a bye. it- was resolvcil to forward Air YA'illamscm’s name for the senior game referee. Ivanieri Ladies' Tennis Club were appointed gatekeepers for the season. It was resolved to ask the Council to tar seal along the fence of the playing field.
