HOUSEHOLDERS’ MEETING
A RAH UR.A ROAD. The annual meeting of householders was held in the school-room last evening there being a good representative gathering present. Mr A. Richards (Chairman of the out-going Committee) was voted to the chair. The Chairman detailed t' work done during the previous twelve months and read the balance sheet, which showed a credit of £l3 12s lid. Nominations were then called for a new committee of five and eight were received. A ballot was then taken, the result being as follows:—IT. A. Finch and A. Richards 30, J. Finch 27, A. Bradley and AY. L. Dove each 26 (elected); AY. Lloyd 10, Mrs Douglas 7. T. Tainui 5. The first five were declared duly elected for the ensuing term. Messrs AY. Houston. \Y. Bond and D. Jollie carried out the duties of scrutineers.
At a meeting of the newly elected committee held immediately after, Mr A. Richards was elected Chairman and Mr .JI, A, Finch Be<wtftry-Tr<?ftßUrer.
