Five hundred farmers from fortylive States are sailing on 30th July under tho direction of the American •Farm and Bureau Federation with the co-operation of the Department of Agriculture to visit seven .European countries to determine agriculture conditions, and methods of marketing, and irrigation in Denmark, large scale drainage in .Holland, reforestation in Germany, terracing Rhineland, landscape gardening in England and France, and wasteland reclamation and dairying in several Scandanaviaii conntries. The farmers spend seven weeks in studies which include visits to lort.v----t/hreo cities, to see the disposal ol agricultural products to the consumer. The trip is the out growth of experts surveys indicating many successful agricultural producers in Europe are probably adaptable to American con ditions, and it is desired farmers snouhl make first hand investigations.
