CORRESPONDENCE
THE ANZAC'S. ' (To the Editor.) Sir.—l 111 ust impose on your generosity once again and enlighten our friend “ Dinkum Digger ” on a few points. Well “Dinkum Digger” your letter of the 2Sth seems to be aimed at me this time, but I am only going to answer the last paragraph. I have already explained my action in not dismissing the cadets. Everybody seems to be satisfied except you, and you do not count, as far as 1 am concerned. Now for the personal part of your letter: You have forced my hand to advertise the fact that I landed on Gallipoli with the sth Reinforcements, in August, 191-5, and was there until evacuation, and believe me the whips wore cracking all the .time. Perhaps 1 have more right to use the words “ Dinkum Anzac ” than you have. I have finished; I do not intend! carrying on this correspondence with a person who will not come out of his “dug-out” and sign his letters. Another thing, thoughts are all very well on Anzac Day, but deeds count. I am. etc.. C. H. BLEACH. Hokitika. May 2nd. 1927.
