COMAI i i TEE MEETING. The Committee of the above Club met. at 8.10 p.m. Present: Messrs F. McGregor (in the chair), R. Adamson, J. J. Mclntosh, A. \Y. Yarrall, C. J. P. Sellers, J, Peake and I). J. Evans. Apology was made for the absence of Messrs Williams and Whiley. The New Zealand Racing Conference notified the annual meeting at Wellington on July l.’Uli, and invited notices of motion in respect to any business to be considered. Tt was resolved to communicate with the District Committee at Greymoutli suggesting a notice of motion to restore rules 8 and 9, Part VI, to the same stipulations as in 1925, to meet tlie requirements of the smaller clubs, which are now confined to one race only of less distance than six furlongs for a two days’ meeting. It was resolved also to ask the District Committee to consider the elimination of hurdle races from the autumn programmes, and to raise the minimum weights for Hat races to 7s 71bs. The N'.Z. Referee notified the transfer of the paper to Wellington for future publication.—Received. THE LATE MEETING. The Treasurer submitted a statement of accounts in regard to the recent meeting on Easter Wednesday. 'File total receipts had been £l2lO 12s fid. The expenditure was £134-4 14s 3d. leaving a deficit of £lO4 Is 9d, against which £2B was recoverable for rebate on lota lisa tor revenue. The payments to the Government for taxation in respect to the meeting were: Dividend tax, £2fi7 6s ; totalizator tax, £l4B 7s fid; stakes tax. £33; amusement tax, £l,B 8s 8d ; general tax, £6 8s 4d ; total paid to the Government, £473 10s fid. The statement was received and adopted. Matters referring to the course and appointment were discussed, and the meeting concluded at 9,20 p.m. I
