In connection with the Borough Election to-morrow “The Local Elections and Polls. Amendment Act. 192(1,” provides that :—Where any person's name does not appear on the roil such person may vote oil making a declaration that he was entitled oy virtue of a proper qualification to have his name entered on the roll and that he had reasonable cause to believe that his name was entered ou the roll. It is also provided that nnv corporate body, the name of which is entered on the roll. may. hv resolution, appoint some person to vote on its behalf. Any unincorporated Society or Association of persons, or any firm, co-partnership, or joint tenants. whose name or names appear on the roll may. by writing under the firm's name or under the hands of the co-partners or joint tenants, appoint some person to vote on their behalf. In the case of a corporate body the person appointed must produce to the Returning Officer, a sealed copy of the resolution, and in the case of an unincorporated society, etc., the instrument of appointment.
