NAPIER, April 21. Judge Jones is hearing a claim by natives to 30.009 acres of land at Tarawera.Tbe land was confiscated from Ngata- Pinernu tribe n 1807 on tlie grounds of disloyalty. Tlie Court’s task is to name tlie owners, the Government having granted a return of the land to the tribe. The hearing will last for several days. TAURAXGA. April 21. Obituary.—Airs AT. E.
