UNUSUAL INCIDENT PAMIATUA, April 12. An unusual incident occurred at the Council meeting last evening. A labour deputation urged the filing of tne “New Zealand Worker ” in the public library. So much so, that the Mayor refused to bring it before the Council, and tore it up. Mr Tinney’s motion to restrain Cough from addressing the meeting was supported by the Mayor, and carried unanimously. Tn assurance was subsequently given bv the Labour candidate S. 0. Wallis). also one of flie deputation, at the forthcoming elections that the “New Zealand Worker.” described hy him, as the now official Opposition journal, would be placed on the library table of the borough.
