VALEDICTORY.

(From a Correspondent). A farewell gathering was held in the Blue Spur school room oil Tuesday afternoon to bid good-bye to Miss Potts, the retiring teacher. During the afternoon Misses Gladys Schroder and Alvis Williams said liow sorry they were to part with their teacher who had been so kind to them, and asked Miss Joyce Williams and Joan Feeney to present Miss Potts with an ebony mirror as a token of the school children's appreciation. Miss Potts feelingly replied, and said how sorry she was to part with the children and people of Blue Spur. She thanked them most heartily for their beautiful gift and hoped to he able to visit the Spur during the holidays.

Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Noble and Feenv. Miss "Myrtle Shroeder asked Miss Miss Potts to accept a bouquet of flowers. Master Dick Feeney in a masterful way recited

“Jack and Jill.” Master Herbert Williams recited "Jack” in a splendid manner. Song, Billie Stewart, “When You Begin to Miss Me.” Recitation, Miss Abbs Williams, “Cobbler, Cobbler.” Billie Stewart, song. “Canberra.” The singing of “She’s a Jolly Good Fellow.” and three hearty cheers for Miss Potts, also three cheers for Miss Ward who takes up her duties on Monday morning brought a jolly afternoon to a close.
