In regard to unqur-!i!i ’d men, not holding degrees as veiciina: v surgeons, there was nothing in tue Veterinary Surgeons Act. 1020. to prevent their continuing to treat animals. but. they could not describe themselves ns veterinary surgeons, veterinarians. or veterinary practitioners unless they were able to satisfy the Minister of Agriculture that they had been in practice for not less than ten years prior to the Act coming into force, ttltd wore of good character and repute, in which ease they would he entitled to describe themselves as veterinary practitioners. A number ol applications of this nature were already in hand, and steps were being j upon to obtain the necessary confirmation of the grounds on which the applications were made.
