The annual meeting of the Kaiueri Football Club will be bold on 1 uesday next at 8 p.m. at, the Public Hall, Kanicri.
Mr C ,E. Tidy, of Napier, a visitor to Hokitika, will he among the soloists at the Plunket Society benefit at the Town Hall on Friday night. The Bristol Piano Company, through the kindness of Mr R. E. Horne, General Manager at Christer.urch. is kindly placing a niano at the disposal of the concert authorities for the occasion, free of charge.
Advice has been ‘ived from Christchurch that over ow people will l, e visiting Hokitika on Saturday next, arriving by the two excursion trains. Some fifty of the passengers by the second train have reserved motor accommodation to visit the dredge and Lake Kanicri. The arrangements for the excursion will be on the lines of those prepared last week, and given fine weather the visitors should have an enjoyable time,
