Page followed Alills and runs came fairly quickly. Blunt doing most of the scoring. At -It! Rogerson howled In place of Hansford. At 11.35 the score was 1 for 11.
At 58 IV. Armstrong replaced Eliding and bowled a maiden. In Rogorson’s next over Page was clean howled 59—2 —ll. Daere was next but was dean bowled by Rogerson before he had scored, 59—-3—o. Dempster was next and saw Blunt- reach 50. At noon the score was three for sixtythree.
The scoring slowed down considerably Imt "livened up again when Dempster became set and 100 appeared after an hour and 25 minutes. Hendry atul T. Armstrong took over from l’ogerson and W. Armstrong. Both batsmen eon tin tied to score briskly, Dempster being slightly faster than Blunt, who was getting near his century. At luncheon 3 wickets were down for 14(5. NEW ZEALAND First Innings.
