March 22 Prisoners were sentenced to-day by the Chief Justice:Ixionard Reginald Brown and John Fi nest Hoskins, breaking, entering and theft, a number of charges; first named was ordered three years at Borstal, and the latter probation, for the same period, to remain in the employ of his father, and make restitution of £1 19s (id. and pay costs £3 O.s Bd. Chief Justice Skerrctt said that breaking and entering was becoming too common, in the country

Albert. Lawrence and Joseph Windsor, three brothers, breaking, entering and Theft., the last two five years’ hard labour, and the first four years. Albert Vivian Love, on a similar charge, two years of Boistal.

William Edward Rosbel Ebert, theft, two charges, and breaking and entering, six mouths’ reformative detention.

Air Gray, for Atossman, pointed out that the evidence of Afossman’s misconduct. was uncorroborated. The evidence of the respondent, whose confession needed no persuasion, and was made in the office of her husband’s solicitor, when she herself was not represented by counsel to advise her ol the consequences of her action, and the evidence of oilier witnesses was valueless, as all were hostile to Mossman. Furthermore, there was evidence that Airs Orhell was willing to seduce workmen about the nlaee.

Air Justice Adams remarked that if all accounts about Airs OrbelV were true she must he a sexual maniac. Decision was reserved.
