Long before the Royal party appeared live thousand .school children had been drawn up in tlie square, also boy scouts from all over me district, girl guides, Flock House boys. Girls’ Technical lligli School pupils, and cadets. A Guard ol Honour was supplied by the seventh battery N.Z.A. The Duke commented on the fine physical appearance of Die school children, stating be bail been very impressed with the school children of the country. Amidst spontaneous outbursts of cheering the party then proceeding to the dins in the centre ol the square, where an address of welcome was read on behalf of the municipality and Kaluga County Council.
