AN UNUSUAL ACCIDENT. BERLIN, February 21. Five were killed and seven taken to the hospital owing to a most unusual gas poisoning.

Thirteen passengers were returning y from Biehrich on the Rhine in a motor v boat and were all in the cabin, lbe boat when passing a patch of shallowwater jammed the exhaust pipe and the petrol fumes spread most rapidlv in the cabin where all the windows were shut. One man saved his life by smashing a window.
