CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS.

On Saturday afternoon the singles contest to find the AYcst Coast champion of champions was played on the Greymonth green, and, while the form was not of the best, the games were all interesting, the margins being mostly small in the various games. The details are:—

First Round.— Harrison (19) beat Alciver (17). Wilson (21) heat Leach (IS). Second Round.— Harrison (22) beat Wilson (19). Leach (23) heat Mercer (IS).

Third Round.- Leach (21) heat Harrison 0 7). Wilson (19) beat Mercer (ITT Three players tied with 2 wills each; Harrison (Westport), AV. AVil.son (Hokitika) and Leach (Runanga).

In the play off AVil.son drew a bye. Harrison defeated Leach, and in the final defeated AVilson 12—11. AVilson played an exceptionally good game, but Harrison scored four on the first head and ran out the winner.
