.MELBOURNE C.C. TOUR. AUC KLAND. February 4. The first match of the Al el bourne Cricket Club’s tour of New Zealand opened this morning at Eden, Park ill cool weather. A. Scott replaced Rowntree as Auckland’s wicket keeper and A'. C. Butler took Cooper’s place. For the visitors Dakin was left out. Da ore won the toss and at noon Auckland’s score was 50 for no wickets ( llowley 34, Anthony 14). At the luncheon adjournment at one o'clock Auckland had scored 108 without loss (Rowley Or. Anthony 39. extras 4). OTAGO v. CANTERBURY. DUNEDIN, Feb. 4. The Phuiket Shield match, Otago v. Canterbury, commenced in. good weather and an easy wicket. At itinch Canterbury had lost 5 for 120.
