NEXT WEDNESDAY WEEK

On Wednesday week next tho gala fixture on Cass Square in aid of All Saints’ Memorial Church , will take place. There is a remarkably varied programme of sport and fun set down for decision in tho afternoon, the games commencing at 1.30 o’clock. There will be slalls of goods lor sale on the ground, offering bargains to purchasers of a varied kind. Games, decorative events, races and baby competitions will assist to lend infinite variety. The dancing on tho green will bo a particular novelty and will be a special feature of the afternoon. The band will be in attendance, and altogether thero should not be a, dull moment.

At night there will bo a unique entertainment at the Soldiers’ Hall where an elocutionary competition and spelling bee will take place, interspersed with vocal and instrumental items. Tho sheets of words for the elocutionary competition are obtainable at the County Office.

Entries for all events in connection with gala day will close on Saturday week (12th inst). As the entries are coming in already flic re is the promise of excellent competition. The entry fees being modest should result in a bumper entry and fa spirited competition. Parents should remind their children of tho special events for which they are eligible.
