'l'lie Gala Day set down for the 16th. Februarv is rapidly approaching no". H "ill he only a fortnight from M ednesdav next. Those intending to take part in the various events should now 1.0 preparing their entries. There will l»e a meeting of the ladies and genucmen directing the day’s big programme shortly lo finalise matters. But the preliminary arrangements are so well advanced that a wonderful afternoon’s sport- is assured. Various novelties will be introduced, and the aiternoon should prove a very festive one.

At night, the elocutionary competition will be the great feature. Entries for this, and all other competitive items, including the spelling hoe, close on the 12th. prox. Entries may he left at the County Office, where programme and sheets of words arc obtainable.
