LABOUR ACTION. SYDNEY, January 1!>
As the result of the refusal of the Federal Government to accept nominees of various Trades and Labour Councils through the Commonwealth, for inclusion in the Industrial delegation to America, a move is to he made to induce the industrial bodies of that country to refuse to recognise the delegation. Sydney Trades and Labour Council repudiated the delegation because that body’s nominee. Jock Gordon, was not accepted by the Federal Government. MIORATION TO COMMONWEALTH. SYDNEY, Jan. IS. It is officially estimated that Australia, had a net gain of 42,200 in population from immigration last year. WOOL SALES. (Received this day at 3 a.m.l SYDNEY. January 19. At the wool sales, the market ruled exceedingly firm under good all round competition. Values generally were on a par with the opening day’s rate.
