AUCKLAND, .limitary 19. After their escape from Hamilton police look-up Brewer and Curtis took a racing car from a private garage in Hamilton. They were recognised at (Men Eden by Constable Smith who enlisted the services of a motor cyclist and side car and gave chase. 1\ hen he drew level with the stolen car the two occupants jumped out. Brewer going in one direction and Curtis in the other. Curtis was soon caught, hut Brewer escaped. At the police court Curtis was charged with escaping Irom lawful custody and remanded till January 27.
