The Pom,put Committee of the Victorian Cricket Association refused T’onsford and Ryder permission to play in Pennant Club matches, while the Victorian team is absent in Now South Wales and Qucensbuid. Ryder and Poiisford had previously notified the Association that they were unable to accompany tho team for urgent private reasons. TEAM FOR N.Z. MELBOURNE. January 19. The Board of Control litas granted permission to Melbourne Cricket Club to tour New Zealand. The team which leaves at the end of the month is not selected hut will include Warwick Armstrong, Hansford and Hendry.
