It is to he hoped that the committee set up to review the school curricula will so modify the syllabus as to put the practical before the academic. so that, if anything is to he crowded out through lack of time, it will he mere number-juggling that passes for arithmetic, and the mere parroting of technical terms that is offered as a substitute for power to use and appreeiate Eng] ish. —“Otac;o Daily Times.”
