AUCKLAND, January 18,
The weather was dull and warm when play was resumed in the pairs competition on various city and suburban greens this morning. The last two rounds of section play were commenced and section ties are to be played this afternoon. Where the sections have been won outright two section winners "ill play off to find the green winners. Only green winners will go forward to the post section play, which will be oil the “ sudden death ” principle.
'l'he draw for the singles is being resumed this afternoon. A. C. Maclntyre (two lives), pays Norrie Bell (one life). M. Walker (one life) plays A. Kmellie (one life), If. Clarke (one lile) plays C. Maher (one life). These games will ho got off as the players mentioned become available.
