The Duke and Duchess of York and suite attended a cinema show tiiis evening, ami during a temporary breakdown of tlic machine, they listened to tlie audience singing chanties, and. alter this, the Duke, who has a manure of liis own, helped the operators to discover the delects.
To-day Their Royal Highnesses made a thorough Lour of the engine, boiler, and furnace rooms, exploring every part characteristic of the new oil-iired navy. The Dm Loss and Daily Gilmour did not requite to don overalls, the
“ Renown’s ” engine room staff boasting that it was unnecessary to wear
anything over ordinary clothes everything being spotless, as it was.
The Duke and Duchess of York received the cable from Mr lirucc conveying Australia’s best wishes for an enjoyable cruise, and promising a wurpi welcome to Australia. The Duke of York suitably replied.
