A special message from H.AI.S. “Renown ” 011 Sunday states: “Though a considerable time is being devoted to exercising and recreation, tho Duke of York and tho Earl of Cavan (who is steadily improving) have daily lengthy conferences with the staff regarding the details of the shore arrangements awaiting them at the various points of call, and specially with reference to the interesting itineraries prepared for them in New Zealand and Australia.

“ Continuous telegrams are passing, and the benefit of the direct wireless installation, which is now functioning more satisfactorily, is daily manifest. “ To-day passed as a normal Sunday. Alter “Divisions” the Duke of York inspected the port side of the ship, visiting (he bakeries, galleys and flats.

“ The Duke and Duchess of York attended divine service, and they afterwards together visited the compass platforms, the bridge and the charthouse, where their sleeping apartments will he in the tropics, and other parts of the ship. “To-night, reports received from Las Palmas, where thei-e is a heavy swell now running, indicate the possibility of the whole programme ashore being abandoned, owing to the risk of .landing in small boats. “The squash rackets court is now fully occupied. The Duke of York has play-cd several games, as 'well as the stall' and ship’s officers.”

THE ITINERARY. The principal object of the voyage of the Duke and Duchess is the opening of the first Federal Parliament, at Canberra, hut in. tho course of the world voyage they will visit Jamaica. Fiji. New Zealand. Alaiiritius. Port Said, Afalta and Gibraltar. The programme of the voyage issued by the Admiralty is as follows: Leave Portsmouth. Jan. 6th. Las Palmas (Canary Islands). Jan. 10-11th. Kingston (Jamaica) Jan. 20-23rd. Panama Canal, Jan. 26th. Nukihiva (Marquesas Island), Feb. 8-9th. Suva (Fiji) Feb. 17-19th. Auckland (N.Z.) Feb. 22-23rd. Russell (Bay of Islands) Feb. 2425 th. Auckland, Feb. 26th. Alareh 3rd. Wellington, Alareh 5-Dtli. Picton-Westport. Alareh 9-lDth. Greymouth, Alareh 1 Lth. Christchurch, Alareh 12-IGtli. Stewart Island, Alareh 21st-22nd.

The vistors will spend a month in Yew Zealand. At Bussell at the north end of tho North island the Duke will got some big fishing .thereafter proceeding to Rotorua and Lake Taupo to a fishing unmp for rainbow trout. After having toured the South Island, the party will embark at Patterson Inlet, in Stewart Island, at the extreme south point of New Zealand, oil Alareh 22nd. and sail in the Renown for Sydney, where the ship is due to arrive on Alareh 2Gtii.

Here the battle cruiser will he met by the Australian squadron about miles outside the Heads and escorted up the harbour. The visit to Sydney will occupy 1; days, from March 26th. to April 14th., during which time the party will go by rail to Brisbane, where four or five days will be spent. On A pril 14th. the llenown will sail for Hobart where she will remain from April loth, to 20th. From Hobart the shin will go to Melbourne, arriving on April 21st. r lh< Royal visitors will be in Victoria Horn April 21st. to April 28th. or 29th. when they will leave lor Adelaide overland. Five days will Ik- available for functions in Melbourne, Anzac Day and Sunday being left free. On May 12th., following the ceremonies at Canberra, the Renown will sail from -Melbourne for Fremantle, where the visitors will remain from May 18th. to 23rd. The Australian portion of the voyage ends with the departure of the Renown from Fremantle on May 23rd. for Port Louis, Mauritius, which will be reached on June Ist. From there the ship will proceed via Aden, Red Sea, Suez. Port Said, Malta, and Gibraltar; then back to Portsmouth where she is due on June 27th. after a voyage of 29.000 miles in 176 days.
