MADMAN’S EXPLOSIVE.

NEW YORK. Oct. 30. All {lie banks in New York have been urgently warned by the police to be on the alert for a madman who is walking about with a bottle of liitro-glycerino, which be says the Almighty has ordered him to explode unless be is provided with enough notes of the value of £2OO each to enable him to have a good time before lie dies. The madman appeared yesterday at a cashier’s window in the National City Bank. He held a bottle in one hand while with the other he pushed through the window a piece of paper oil which was written: Don't play here or draw your gun, for this bottle contains enough nitroglycerine to blow up the entire building. Don't have me followed into the street, for if I drop the bottle there the explosion will cause a greater loss of life than it will here. T am suffering from a terrible disease and need money to hire a doctor. so give me all the thousand and hundred-dollar notes you have and fill this hag with them. The hank employee, after a few moments’ conversation, asked the madman to wait, so that he could get the money. He went to summon the police. After waiting a few seconds the madman walked out and disappeared among the crowd.
