THE ROYAL VISIT
The West Coast is included in the tentative programme in connection with the forthcoming visit of the Duke and Duchess of A ork. The claims of the West Coast and particularly of tlio 'Fran/. Josef Glacier in regard to scenic attractions were urged by Mr Seddon when Parliament was considering the Supplementary Estimates and ho. asked the Minister of Internal Affairs if (my portion of the '£dooo was to be spent in Westland. The Minister replied that the proposed programme of the tour included visits to Auckland, Bay of Islands for fishing, Wellington. Napier, Nelson, the West Coast, Christchurch, Dunedin, the Cold Lakes, Bluff, and the Sounds, thence to Australia. This programme will he submitted to tlio Royal visitors for their (approval, ~nd as soon as a reply has been received, Mr Seddon will be advised as to the final itinerary. Mr Seddon, M.IL. wlm arrived at Greymouth on Tuesday will be visiting Hokitika on Saturday.
