LEAGUE OF NATIONS

[Australia & N.Z. Cable Association.] GENKA’A, September 19. Paul Boneour in a speech before a. committee urging the Preparatory Committee to hasten its labours for the purpose of enabling the drawing up early in 1927 a programme of the Disarmament Conference; meeting prior to the eighth Assembly, pointed’ out if the conference had no other effect, it would stabilise the existing armies, and prevent the recommencement of the race in armaments, when the economic and financial situation improves. British, Belgian, Polish and Yugoslavian delegates supported the Italian view. There at present is no hurry to convene the conference as political questions are not yet settled. The discussion was adjourned.
