U.S. ATHLETES. ANOTHER TOUR OF N.Z. Australia & N.Z. Cable Association.j WELLINGTON, September 14. The sub-committee appointed by the Council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association in connexion with the proposed visit to the Dominion tin's season of an American athletic .team

fas lost no time in getting to work. Already members of the sub-committee bare diuwu up a tentative itinerary for the tour, and a list of the guarantees necessary from the various athletic centres in the country. The two athletes to be asked to tour are, firstly, an all-rounder. Harold Osborne, Olympic decathlon winner, and a sprinter for 200 yards and 440 yards events, to be selected by the council’s representative in America, Mr O. G. Kmgness. Should Osborne not bo available, the sub-eonunittee will be guided in its final decision by the American representative.

It is suggested that the two athletes leave Vancouver by the Aorangi on December 15th. or thereabouts, and arrive in Auckland on January 3rd o: Itb. 1927.

The sub-committee's suggestion in regal'd to guai'antee money is as follows: Wellington £2OO. Canterbury £IOO. Auckland £IOO. Otago £7.1. Wanga.nui-West Coast £75. Gisborne which is being treated as a separate centre) CIO. These guarantees are required to he. remitted to the council he fore the tour is finally arranged. The profits from the tour are to be utilised as follows:—Guarantees throughout Xew Zealand are first of all to he repaid ; secondly. 75 per cent, of the remainder is to he divided pro rate, among the Centres, according to the net profits earned by the various Centres ; and the other 2d per cent is to go to the Xew Zealand A.A.A.

The team will reach Auckland on January 3rd. and its competing dates as suggested are:—January 15th. at Hamilton : January 22nd. at Auckland ; January 20th. at Napier or Hastings; January 20th. at Gisborne; February 2nd. at Palmerston Xorth ; February dth. at Wanganui : February oth. at Flnwera ; February 12th. _at Wellington; .February Ifit'h. at Ashburlon or Tiinnru; February 19th, at Dunedin : February 2drd. at fnvercargiil : February 2fith. at Christchurch: March 2nd. at Masterton ; Minreh sth. at Wellington : March 9th, at ]?otonin ; March 12th, at Auckland. The learn will leave Auckland for Vancouver on March 15th.

A copy of the details of the proposed, tour has been sent out to the various Centres for consideration.
