- ’’Australian & N.Z. Cable Association • COMMENT ON MAuHIS. PARIS, Sept. 14. The newspapers are still gasping with surprise at the Maoris colossal score. They did not expect such a crushing defeat. Critics agree that the visitors arc less scientific than the All Blacks. They are weak in passing and lack cohesion. hut they made up in speed what they lacked in science. The opinion is expressed that the best French teams will extend the Maoris who will then have to tune the quickness of wits to the speed of feet. The visitors are enjoying enthusiastic receptions owing to the inclusion in the team of eX-Alizacs.
