LUCKY SEAMSTRESS.

PARIS, July 20.

The £7,500 necklace lost the other day by Baroness James do Rothschild has been found by a pretty 18-years-old girl employed in a fashionable dressmakingiestahlisliment in tlie Rue du Faubourg St. Honore. The girl was busy at her sewing machine when, in moving aside a heap of odd pieces of silk, she saw the necklace on the floor. She picked it up and handed it to the head of her department, who inspected it and remarked. “This tiling is of no value. Tt most likely is imitation pearl.” The necklace was left lying on tho table until the following day. when tho young seamstress who had found it read in the newspapers of tho baroness’s loss. She at once went to the management and said: “Baroness James de Rothschild is one of our customers. It must be her necklace I found.” So it proved to be, and the little seamstress has been rewarded by tho baroness with a cheque for £2OO.
