[Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.] NEW YORK, September 10. Mr C. C. Pyle has announced that he has signed up Paul Foret, of France, to participate with Miss Mary Browne, of California, in the forthcoming American tennis tour of Mdlle Lenglen. M. Foret defeated Richards during the recent Franco-American team series in Paris. NEW YORK. September 11. Pyle, organiser of the professional tennis, interviewed regarding the report-. said that he would take Mdlle Lenglen and others to Australia. He said that no definite decision had yet been reached. It is our thought and desire to take Mdlle Lenglen and other outstanding players on a world tour next year, which would include Australia : hut nothing definitely has been settled, nor can a decision he reached for at least two months. Wo are too busy now arranging an American tour to make other plans. Pyle’s statement is interpreted to mean that lie will await results from the United States experiment of professional tennis before planning for the future. Upon the result of such experiments depends the Australian trip. AMERICANS RETAIN DAVIS CUP. (Received this day at 10.15 a.in.) NEW YORK, September 10. The Americans won the doubles, 6-1. 6-4. 6-2. and thus retain the Davis Cup.
