INDUCTION CEREMONY

A large congregation attended the Induction Service of the Rev. John AY. Hayward, which took place in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church last evening at 7.30 o’clock. The Rev. A. Miller, M.A., as Moderator of the Presbytery addressed tho congregation, after which the Rev. T. N. Cuttle proceeded to solemnly induct the Rev. J. AY. Hayward into the! pastoral charge of the Church. At the conclusion of the Induction Service a welcome social was held in St. Andrew’s Hall, the hall being taxed to the utmost. During the evening speeches of welcome were made by the Rev. KnowlesSmith, Rev. A. Aliller, Cnpt. Stein and Messrs Murdoch and Park which were replied to by Rev. J. AY. Hayward. An enjoyable musical programme’was also rendered, after which a dainty supper was served by the ladies. A most pleasant evening then terminated with the singing of the National Anthem.
