MATAINUI NOTES
(From a Correspondent) Air Brightmore is at present a guest at the Wataroa Hotel. Air and Airs Wilkinson and friends paid a visit during the week-end on their way to Waiho. Air and Airs J. Hansbury and sou, of Ross were also visiting the district. Air and Airs H. Delia have returned from their honeymoon. A very pleasant evening was spent at their residence on Thursday, several irieuds being there to welcome them. Airs H. •Adamson and brother leave to-day for north. At present the country lorry and grader are here doing good work on the roads. It has taken our members a long time to wake up to the fact that a lorry has been necessary. Alatainui sawmill lias again resume! operations after a forced spell owing t > delay in the installation of a new boiler. „ A euchre tournament was Held last Saturday. Air j. Hansbury winning the prize. There are a fair number of lambs on the flat, consequently the farmers are very pleased and wish.the fine weather to continue. Alessrs Webster, Keenan and Korlcgast were visitors during the week.
