FOOTBALL.
A team * from the Westport Technical School arrived in Hokitika yesterday afternoon, and a match between the visitors and a team from the Hokitika District High School has been arranged to take place on Cus Square to-morrow (Wednesday) afternoon, commencing' at 2 o’clock sharp. The visitors come with an excellent reputation of ability to put up a good display of open passing, and as tbe Hokitika team will do its utmost to open up the game, a good exposition of Rugby should result. Being Wednesday afternoon there should be a good attendance, and patrons are reminded that play will commence at two o’clock. A charge of one shilling, admission to the ground will lie made and, as the proceeds will be devoted to the school football fund, it is hoped that a substantial gate will result, and so assist the younger players with their finance)
