BOXING.
[BY TELEGRAPH—PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CAMBRIDGE, Aug. 31. The initial tournament of the newly formed Cambridge Boxing Association was hold last evening and proved hi--lilv successful. The accommodation was fully taxed. 800 being present The principal feature was the professional contest between Clias Purdy 9.1 lj (Auckland) and Nelson McKnight (Hamilton) 10.3 for a purse of £IOO. The contest went the full ten rounds, Purdy scoring a merited win on points.
