(■Australia & N.Z. Cable Association.] PRISON ESCAPADE. NEW YORK, Aug. 28. At loniti, in Michigan. 2t prisoners escaped from the Aficliigan State Reformatory. They overpowered the entire night force, -locking them in. cells, and then fleeing in two prison motor cars. Several of them wore the uniforms of the night force. Two additional cars were also stolen after the prisoners left the reformatory, and then the group spfit into squads of five. A fifth group (of four) is reported to have taken a fifth ear. Two of the cars wore later found abandoned, miles from the scene. Preceding the escape, two of the guards overhead a ’disturbance. Ay hen they investigated, they were held up by revolvers in the hands cf the leaders, who took them into custody. and then proceeded to capture, by twos and threes, the entire night guard.
