WEST COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS. GREYMOUTH, Aug. 26. The West Coast Golf Tournament was continued yesterday in good weather. the links again being in excellent order. The form shown was generally very fair, Sime again being outstanding, while rounds in tho ladies’ championship, which looked very open , at the outset, eliminated all but two visitors, Misses Lynskey (Canteiliury) and Conway (Wellington). Tho following are the results of the day’s P ' MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP. Ist. round: Sime beat Bevell 8 and 7: Lovell beat Meldrum 4 and 3; McCarthy beat Mathieson 3 and 1 ; Park I '-at Loftus 3 and 1. 2nd. round : Sime beat Lovell 4 and 3: Park beat McCarthy 6 and 5. LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP. Ist. round: Miss Conway beat Miss Fletcher 7 and 6; Mrs Slee beat- Miss Bi-btcd 3 and 2; Miss Lynskey beat Mrs Cunningham 1 up; Miss Wilson beat Miss Kettle 8 and 6. 2nd. round : Miss Conway beat Airs Slee 5 and 4; Miss Lynskey beat Miss Wilson 4 and 3. Men's Bogey Handicap: McKay 4 uji. . Ladies’ Medal Handicap: Miss Bettjeman 103—18 —85. Ladies’ Foursome Match: Mrs Bird and Mrs Foote who took the flag to the 19th. green were the winners. Men's Fourball Bogey: Thorpy and McKeebnie 6 up.
