In connection with the broadcasting of news, the Country Press Association is now considering a scheme whereby it will he possible for at least eight of the leading provincial daily newspapers in New South AValcs to have direct touch with London twice every day (SV means of wireless. The Country Press Association has obtained official permission to establish its own wireless station for the broadcasting of news, instead of, as at present. using the telegraphs. Receiving machines are to he installed in the various newspaper offices. These will he able to tune in, not only with Sydney stations, but with British and American wireless stations.
Besides the eight daily papers mentioned, it is also proposed to have ordinary wireless machines installed in about eighty other provincial newspaper offices. The details of the .scheme will be elaborated at a conference of the Country Press representatives, who are meeting at ail early date.
