(_!SY TELEGRAPH PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. NELSON, Aug. 22. At hockey, Nelson yesterday defeated the Buller reps by 6 to 0, after r fast open game. The local forwards were much superior to the visitors, while the defence was very sound 4 Goals were scored by I>. Whitwell (3), H. 'Whitwell (2), and Allport. Yesterday the Mawhera Ladies’ Hockey Club (Grcymouth) defeated Nelson B. team by 9 goals to 0. In a ladies’ game yesterday for Lhe Pope Shield, Nelson (holders) defeated Golden Bay by 5 goals to 0. The game was not very interesting The goals were scored by Misses Patterson (3) and Smith (2)
