Tex Rickard announced on Wednesday evening that Dempsey and Tunney will fight for the world’s championship at Philadelphia on the twenty-third of September. NEW YORK, Aug. IS. \Tex Rickard’s decision followed nil assurance that Pennsylvania Athletic Commission would not interfere with the match, lie stated: “1 did not desire to bring the New York State Athletic Commission into court in the matter.” State Governor Pinchot and Mayor Kendrick, of Philadelphia joined in the invitation. The negotiations were concluded with the Secretary of State end the Boxing Board, and fifty thousand dollars was deposited by Rickard. The bout will he one of ten rounds, and will be a decision one.
