A young man, Angus Donald Jury, was admitted to probation for two years on ton counts of stealing articles of clothing of a value of £l6 18s 4d. from his employer. COUNTERFEIT HALF CROWNS. HAMILTON, Aug. 14. Counterfeit half crowns are now circulating in Ngaruawahia. A stranger to the town was arrested and charged with uttering spurious coins to the tradespeople.
