AMATEUR RIDER KILLED. (Received this day at 9.0 a.m.)
MELBOURNE, Aug. 12
At Findon Harriers’ Hunt Club Meeting, Mooney. Valley, in the Steeples, Master Fife fell and the rider J. Bullock, a well-known amateur, was killed instantly. SERUM PROVES FAILURE. SDYNEY Augustl2. ■ Sir Neville Howse tabled a report dealing with the test of doctor Smalpages serum. The final report of medical committee’s investigation were received only from Victoria and Queensland, tho other States not having completed inquiries, but the Federal Government has decided to abandon all further tests the serum having proved a failure.
