STORMY WEAHER.
AUCKLAND, August 9 Stormy weather and heavy rain continued over the week-end with a severe gale on the west coast. The Manukau bar was unworkable for outward bound steamers until Sunday afternoon.

The Premier and the Miniser of Public Works, accompanied by a large official party, left Christchurch t m morning for Lake Coleridge to open import suit extensions of the P-ver plant Mr. Coates attends the Grand National tomorrow, returning to Wellington the same' evening.
